Suspect charged for fatal Point Breeze shooting

POINT BREEZE (WPVI) -- The suspect in a fatal shooting in the Point Breeze section of Philadelphia has been charged.

Tysheed Davis, 26, from the 2200 block of Wharton Street, is charged with murder and related offenses.

Police responded to the area of Point Breeze Avenue and Wharton Street at 4:22 p.m. Friday for a report of a shooting.

There, officers found 26-year-old Jessie Williams shot inside his 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

Another man in the vehicle suffered minor injuries after Williams' vehicle crashed into parked cars.

Davis suffered a gunshot wound to his finger. Police say Davis shot Williams, but Williams was able to return fire.

Two weapons were recovered from inside Williams' vehicle and one was found on the road, police say.
