PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The day after New Year's meant a packed Philadelphia International Airport.

"I've been in line for about 15 minutes now. It's been hectic, it's pretty crazy out here," said Pat McGourne of San Francisco.

Security lines snaked through terminals on Sunday.

"I mean it's crowded, but I think it's organized and moving well," said Emmie Parker

On one of the busiest days for travel, the majority of flights were on time with only a few reported delays.

Travel experts report more than 38 million people flew this holiday season, and about 2.4 million on Sunday alone.

Annette Draughm tells Action News lower prices offered this year made all the difference.

"It was much more affordable," said Draughm.
