2 men wanted in home invasion, shooting in Newark, Delaware

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Two men are wanted in connection with a home invasion and shooting in New Castle County.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the unit block of Mercer Drive in Newark, Delaware.

Police said two masked men entered the residence and shot a 23-year-old man in the groin.

The victim was rushed to Christiana Hospital with serious injuries.

The suspects fled on foot, police said.

It is unknown if anything was taken during the incident.
