Police are investigating the death of a man outside a supermarket in Bensalem, Bucks County.

BENSALEM, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating the death of a man outside a supermarket in Bensalem, Bucks County.

It was 11:49 a.m. Monday when police were called out to the area of 2544 Knights Rd, at the entrance of the Redners's Supermarket, where a man was found lying in the roadway.

The man had sustained injuries to his face, and was transported to Aria Torresdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

It was initially suspected that the man had been struck by a vehicle, however, video from a nearby residence showed that the man fell in the roadway.

Authorities say it is unclear at this time if the subject died from the fall or some other medical emergency.
