Man shot outside bar in North Philadelphia

A man was shot multiple times outside a bar in North Philadelphia.

The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m. Friday in the 3100 block of North 6th Street.

Officers found the 37-year-old victim lying in the street outside the Xanadu Bar. He was working security at the front door and had just stepped outside the bar.

Police say an unknown male looked at him and began firing a handgun.

The victim was rushed to Temple University Hospital to undergo surgery.

So far, there is no word on his condition.

Investigators are trying to find out the motive.
