Falling tree damages garage, home in Germantown

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- High winds sent a tree crashing down onto a garage and the back of a home in Philadelphia's Germantown section, sparking a small fire.

It happened before 4 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of East Church Lane.

Crews quickly got the fire under control.

No injuries were reported.

PECO crews and officials from Philadelphia's Department of Licenses and Inspections were on the scene inspecting the damage.
