Man hurt during robbery attempt in Feltonville

FELTONVILLE (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating an attempted robbery and assault in Feltonville.

It happened at 12:45 a.m. Monday in the 4900 block of Whitaker Avenue.

Police say 2 men approached a man and pistol-whipped him as they tried to rob him.

Medics treated the victim at the scene for head injuries.

Both suspects fled on foot and remain at large.
