VIDEO: Car slams into building in Delaware
Troopers in Delaware are trying to figure out if a driver who slammed into a building was fleeing from the police.

CRANSTON HEIGHTS, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police say a 26-year-old Wilmington woman is under arrest after she led troopers on a short vehicle pursuit, then crashed into a building.

State Police said in a statement that on Tuesday night around 10:30 p.m. a trooper attempted to stop the driver of a Hyundai Sonata for a registration violation on Kirkwood Highway at Old Capitol Trail.

Police say the trooper activated his emergency lights but the vehicle failed to stop.

The driver, Andrea G. Devine of Wilmington, allegedly led the trooper on a short pursuit, then lost control of her car and struck a fabric store on Newport Gap Pike.

Devine was not injured and was taken into custody.

She faces charges including disregarding a police officer's signal.
