People gathered in Montgomery County Saturday to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and recommit to his dream.

The Salem Baptist Church of Jenkintown hosted the 6th annual luncheon in East Norriton.

County Commissioner Josh Shapiro co-hosted the event.

Sharpio recently announced he is running for state attorney general.

This year's theme was "the eternal flame."

Five people were honored at the luncheon for their work to keep Dr. King's legacy alive.
