A 911 call in Florida went unanswered because the dispatcher was on the line ordering pizza, according to investigators.

BROWARD CO., FL -- A 911 call in Florida went unanswered because the dispatcher was on the line ordering pizza, according to investigators.

It was back in September when an emergency call came in from an optometrist's office while dispatcher Frances Francois was on the phone.

According to reports a young man had a seizure and passed in that office, and someone called 911.

However, they never got through, and they never received a call back, reports WSVN-TV.

"First they called from their office, no answer," Jared Goodman, a store employee, told WSVN. "I called from my cellphone. Again, no answer. Other people in the store tried calling, and nobody picked up."

Authorities say Francois was busy ordering lunch for herself and her co-workers and ignored her duties for seven minutes.

Investigators say the patient in this case turned out to be okay.

As this was Francois's first offense, authorities say she was only given a written reprimand.
