Man struck, critically injured on Route 13 in Delaware

Delaware State Police are investigating after a man was struck and critically injured in New Castle County.

It happened around 5:41 p.m. Thursday on Route 13 near Bacon Avenue in Wilmington Manor, Delaware.

Police said a man, believed to be in his 20s, darted out on to the highway and was struck by a minivan.

He was treated on the scene for a possible head injury and abrasions and then taken to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.

The van did stop at the scene, police said.
