The snow caused the roof of a Downingtown church to collapse.

DOWNINGTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Heavy snow is being blamed for a roof collapse at a Downingtown church.

The collapse occurred Saturday night at the Calvary Fellowship Church at 95 West Devon Drive.

Heavy snow is being blamed for a roof collapse at a Downingtown church.

Church officials reported a 60 square foot hole in the roof of the church just after 5 p.m.

They say about five feet of snow was on the roof at the time of the collapse.

There were no injuries.

However, the 30-year-old church did suffer major damage.

The church has approximately 1,500 members.

The Sunday service was conducted online.
