Police: Suspect sought in Center City cell phone robberies

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for the gunman behind two armed robberies that happened an hour apart in Center City.

The incidents happened between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tuesday along the 1500 block of Pine Street and Delancey Street.

According to police, the suspect is allegedly armed and going around stealing cell phones.

They say the gunman held-up two people.

The suspect is believed to be around 20-years-old and wearing a black leather coat and gray hooded sweatshirt.

Police tracked the phones to an area along the Schuylkill River trail, but then the trail went cold.
