Atlantic City Airport situation 'under control' after evacuation

EGG HARBOR TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Authorities say the situation is under control following an evacuation order at the Atlantic City International Airport Wednesday evening.

A device found around 4 p.m. Wednesday was thought to be possibly explosive, prompting the evacuation.

Action News is told by New Jersey State Police that an "organic material" had been detected, which could be explosive.

Bomb crews were then called to the scene.

There is no word on exactly what the item is or it's origin.
