The NJ teacher is charged in a child pornography case.

EVESHAM TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A Cumberland County high school teacher, charged with possession of child pornography, made his first court appearance on Thursday.

Dressed in an orange jumpsuit, 52-year-old David Rodriguez of Evesham Township, Burlington County calmly answered the judge's questions.

His bail was then set at 10% of $20,000. Rodriguez was ordered to turn in his passport and not allowed to access a the internet or a computer.

He was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of Endangering Welfare of Children (Third Degree).

Rodriguez is employed as a biology teacher at Cumberland Regional High School in Bridgeton.

Police say Rodriguez used an online cloud service to upload photos and videos depicting child pornography. They say many of the images depicted young boys engaging in sexual acts.

He was taken into custody at his home following the execution of a search warrant.
