OAKLYN, N.J. (WPVI) -- The owner of a South Jersey deli that was damaged by fire is asking customers to keep their donations.

Flames ripped through the Amato Brothers Deli in Oaklyn Sunday night.

Family and friends set up a Gofundme page to help. But owner Michael Amato says while they are touched by the outpouring of support, all donations will be returned.

Amato tells us, "We just can't tell everybody how much we appreciate it and we just, people have to work for their money and I don't want to just have someone, you know, hand out money to me and things like that."

Amato says they are working to reopen at another location within the next week or two while the old location is being renovated.
