3 arrested, 1 hospitalized after Feltonville police chase

FELTONVILLE (WPVI) -- Three people are in custody and one person is hospitalized after a brief police chase in the city's Feltonville section.

It happened at 7 p.m. Thursday along the 4800 block of D Street.

Police say they were investigating gunshots heard in the area of the 100 block of East Wyoming Street when they stopped a vehicle.

But as officers approached, police say, the driver accelerated, nearly striking one officer.

He and two others opened fire, stopping the vehicle.

No one was injured.

Three suspects were taken into custody.

One other suspect was taken to Temple University Episcopal Hospital for treatment after being tased by police.
