Police: Man accidentally shoots himself at Camden County home

A man is hospitalized after a shooting in Camden County.

VOORHEES, N.J. (WPVI) -- Camden County authorities are investigating after a shooting in Voorhees, New Jersey.

Police responded around 7:38 p.m. Friday to a report of a person shot in the 100 block of South Burnt Mill Road.

Upon arrival, a 25-year-old male victim was located outside his residence.

Police say the victim shot himself while handling a handgun at his home.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

No other injuries were reported.
