34-year-old WWE champion Daniel Bryan announced this week that he's walking away from the sport he loves because of concussions.

Pro wrestler Daniel Bryan announced he will be retiring from the WWE Monday.

On Twitter, Bryan wrote, "Due to medical reasons, effective immediately, I am announcing my retirement."

Bryan, a former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, is known for his famous Yes! chant that became a popular cheer in the sports world.

Back in September 2012, Bryan, at the time a WWE Tag Team Champion, stopped by 6abc studios where he helped out with a yard sale.
