Police: ATM lockbox containing $18,000 stolen in Frankford

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after an ATM lockbox containing $18,000 was stolen in the city's Frankford section.

It happened shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday outside a family deli in the 1500 block of Church Street.

Police say an employee was working on the ATM machine inside the deli when the suspect got into the victim's truck and stole an iPhone and the lockbox.

The lockbox contained $18,000, police say.

So far, police have not released a description of the suspect.
