Two residents were injured and four apartments were destroyed after a fire erupted inside apartments in Bucks County.

The fire broke out around 5:30 a.m. Saturday at the Foxwood Manor Apartments on the 2100 block of Veterans Highway in Middletown, Pennsylvania.

Upon arrival, firefighters say flames were shooting from an apartment on the second floor in building four.

The fire was brought under control in just over a half hour, officials say.

Four of eight units in the building, officials say, were destroyed by the smoke and water damage.

Two people suffered injuries. One was treated at the scene, and the other was taken to St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne for smoke inhalation.

Crews called for a PennDOT salt truck to help with the streets that have frozen over from the frozen water from the fire hoses.

The American Red Cross arrived to assess the needs of the displaced residents.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
