A water main break has disrupted service to more than a dozen customers in South Philadelphia.

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A broken water main disrupted service to more than a dozen customers in South Philadelphia.

It happened before 4:00 a.m. Monday at 15th and Christian Streets.

The Philadelphia Water Department said a 12-inch main broke, leaving 20 homes without service.

Other homes in the area reported low water pressure due to the break, and at least one basement was flooded.

The main was repaired around 6:30 p.m. and service has been restored to all affected.
