One person was burned in an apartment fire in Philadelphia's Germantown section.

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- One person was burned in an apartment fire in Philadelphia's Germantown section.

The flames broke out before 10 p.m. Monday on the 5700 block of Wissahickon Avenue.

Fire crews arrived to smoke showing on the fourth floor. They immediately evacuated those residents on that floor.

The fire was placed under control in a little over a half hour.

A man in his late 60's to early 70's was taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation and facial burns.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
