Four firefighters have been hospitalized following a hazmat incident in Camden, New Jersey.

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Four firefighters have been hospitalized following a hazmat incident in Camden, New Jersey.

It happened around 9 a.m. Tuesday at a building in the area of 7th and Federal streets.

While on the scene, authorities say the firefighters were exposed to some sort of hazmat leak.

They were taken to Cooper University Hospital for evaluation, but the exposure is not believed to be life threatening.

Details pertaining the nature of the leak have not been released.

Authorities are continuing to investigate.
