Babysitter convicted of raping 12-year-old girl in Prospect Park

PROSPECT PARK, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Delaware County man has been convicted of raping a 12-year-old girl he was hired to babysit.

A jury found 39-year-old Patrick Fries of Prospect Park guilty on Friday.

Fries assaulted the victim at his home back on January 10th.

The assault was reported to police by the girl's grandmother.

Fries was arrested on January 22nd and charged with rape of a child, sexual assault, endangering the welfare of children, indecent assault and statutory sexual assault.
