"Checking" in on those in need

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Preparations are underway for the 39th annual Flyers Wives Carnival.

Tuesday at the Wells Fargo Center the Flyers wives filled five thousand "mystery bags."

The bags are stuffed with Flyers apparel and autographed items.

They will be sold at the flyers' wives carnival on Sunday March 13th.

The event raises money for a number of local charities.
