VIDEO: Firefighters rescue woman stuck in high water
A woman was in need of help after her car got stuck in high water in New Castle, Delaware Thursday morning.

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- A woman had to be rescued after her vehicle got stuck in high waters in New Castle, Delaware.

The incident happened after 8:30 a.m. Wednesday on Airport and Meadow roads.

Firefighters provided a life jacket and escorted the victim from her car.

The road was flooded by water from the Nonesuch Creek.

DelDOT and police had to close the road because motorists continued to ignore the high water signs.
