Flames damage house in Port Richmond

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- A fire damaged a home in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section.

The blaze started around 4:15 a.m. Friday on the 6500 block of Almond Street.

Firefighters arrived to find smoke showing on the first floor of the house.

The residents all managed to get out safely with no injuries.

Crews were able to place the fire under control.

So far, no word on what caused the blaze.
