"The Battle of Trenton" indoor races

TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- Race fans can get a mid-winter dose of motorsports this weekend in Trenton.

The Sun National Bank Arena is hosting "The Battle of Trenton" indoor races.

Nearly 150 racers in 3 classes will compete.

These are three-quarter midgets running some hot laps this afternoon.

Champ carts and slingshots will also race.

One of the indoor speed secrets here is cola syrup sprayed on the concrete track to give the cars more traction.

Races get underway Friday night and Saturday night at 7.
