PAL Day at City Hall

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- A special group of high school students took an oath to learn more about how government works in Philadelphia.

Monday was the kick-off ceremony for the Police Athletic League's annual PAL Day at City Hall.

It's all part of a leadership program in which high ranking public officials will mentor 25 outstanding students.

Mayor Jim Kenny along with Philadelphia's Police Commissioner Richard Ross and Fire Commissioner Derrick Sawyer took part.

6abc General Manager and PAL board member Bernie Prazenica was in attendance as well.

Lockheed Martin once again sponsored the event.
