FRELINGHUYSEN TWP., N.J. -- A contamination scare forced a school in Central Jersey to shut off its water fountains.

The district is currently providing students at Frelinghuysen Township Elementary with bottled water.

Samples from the fountains contained high levels of a solvent that is commonly used for making car parts and plastics.

School officials said they are working to ensure the water system is safe.
