Fire forces residents from home in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A fast-moving house fire forced several residents from a home in West Philadelphia.

The blaze started around 5 a.m. Thursday on the 6400 block of Carlton Street.

Firefighters arrived to find the residents trying to douse the flames with extinguishers.

The fire crews took over and quickly placed the blaze under control.

There were no reports of any injuries.

No word on what caused the blaze.
