ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A man already charged with shooting at police officers, wounding one, has now been charged in the death of a woman whose body was found in an Allentown recycling bin.

Walter Bravold, 62, of the 600 block of North Godfrey Street, had been a suspect in the killing of 59-year-old Rose Sieniawski.

Bratvold and Sieniawski had been in a relationship, police say, and lived together in an apartment.

Sieniawski's employer allegedly told police that her co-workers hadn't seen her since she left her job at 10:30 p.m. on February 9th, walking away with a man they identified as Bratvold.

On the afternoon of February 14th, police were called a recycling bin at an apartment building which was just two blocks from where Sieniawski and Bratvold lived.

There they found Sieniawski's decomposing body. She had died of multiple gunshots wounds, investigators say.

On February 16th, police attempted to serve a warrant at Bratvold's apartment when he allegedly opened fire, shooting and wounding a police officer. Bravold was also shot and wounded in the exchange.

A .22 caliber revolver was recovered from the apartment, police say, and testing showed it matched a bullet recovered from Sieniawski. Shell casings from the revolver were also allegedly found.

Bratvold was charged with one count of homicide and one count of abuse of a corpse for Sieniawski's death.

He had been previously charged with five counts of attempted homicide and 10 counts of aggravated assault for the shooting involving police.
