VIDEO: Local heroes return home from overseas

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Some of our local heroes returned home to Delaware on Tuesday after serving months overseas.

The plane carrying members of the Delaware Air National Guard arrived at the 166th Airlift Wing in New Castle.

Once on the ground there were lots of kisses, plenty of big hugs from little people, and even the family dog joined in the celebration.

The men and women are back from supporting Operation Freedom Sentinel in the Middle East.

While overseas, the pilots, crew and maintenance teams flew daily missions transporting personnel and cargo to various locations.
