PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Authorities say a pickup ran into a parked jet at Philadelphia International Airport, sending the truck's driver to the hospital.

Airport spokeswoman Mary Flannery said the Air Wisconsin regional jet flown by American Eagle was struck just before 1 p.m. Monday at a gate at Terminal F.

No passengers or crew were aboard the aircraft. Flannery said the truck was driven by an airport vendor and was authorized to be on the tarmac.

Both the aircraft and the truck were damaged. The jet was taken out of service and a replacement plane was assigned for a flight to Cincinnati.

The truck driver was taken to a hospital. There was no immediate word about his condition.
