Going above and beyond

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Law enforcement officers in Delaware are receiving special recognition.

The New Castle County Department of Public Safety hosted an awards ceremony in Minquadale Tuesday afternoon.

Officials singled out more than a dozen officers who went above and beyond the call of duty last year.

This included two officers who took time to shovel an elderly woman's driveway while they were investigating a burglary.
