Birthday invite for autistic son brings mom to tears

A simple gesture from one mom to another is speaking volumes for a mother of an autistic son in Canada.

Tricia Klein's 7-year-old son, Timothy, was diagnosed with non-verbal autism when he was 2-years-old.

Klein says she was moved to tears by a simple birthday party invitation from a fellow parent at Timothy's school.

The mother of the birthday boy writes: "Carter sat beside Timothy at school and he always talks about him. I really hope he can come and that maybe Timothy can come earlier in the day if it would too much with the whole class. Let me know so we can make it work."

Klein says Timothy does want to be accepted but that he can get overstimulated.

She says she was shocked by this wonderful moment of consideration and inclusion.
