A South Philadelphia elementary school is getting a makeover, thanks to a famous alumnus

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A South Philadelphia elementary school is getting a makeover, thanks to a famous alumnus.

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Dion Waiters has donated 10 thousand dollars to create a new schoolyard at the E.M. Stanton School.

Now, you can see, it's an asphalt lot.

But it will soon be renovated with artificial turf, a running track, a basketball court, trees, and a garden.

Construction is set for later this year.
