HOLMESBURG (WPVI) -- More than a dozen animals were removed from a home in Philadelphia's Holmesburg section on Saturday morning.
The Pennsylvania SPCA was called to the 7900 block of Marsden Street around 10 a.m. after a tip about animals living in dirty conditions.
That's where 17 animals, including 15 small dogs and two cats, were found.

The animals are now safe at the PSPCA Headquarters on Erie Avenue, where they are being cleaned and treated by veterinarians.
They will remain in the care of the PSPCA for the time being.
It's not clear what charges the homeowner faces at this time.
