A Strawberry Mansion pizza shop owner with the help of employees turned the tables on a would-be robber Tuesday night.

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- A Strawberry Mansion pizza shop owner with the help of employees turned the tables on a would-be robber Tuesday night.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. at Takka's A's Pizza and Grill in the 2300 block of Cecil B. Moore Avenue.

Police say an armed man attempted to rob the pizza shop, but got into a scuffle with the owner and some of the employees.

During the scuffle, the gun went off and struck the suspect in the foot, police say.

He was taken to Temple University Hospital for treatment.

There were no other injuries.

Police say charges are pending against the suspect.
