Woman hurt in West Philadelphia stabbing; suspect in custody

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a suspect is in custody in connection with a stabbing that left a woman injured in West Philadelphia.

It happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of North Conestoga Street.

Police say a 27-year-old woman was stabbed once in the left shoulder.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

A suspect has been taken into custody, but a weapon has not been recovered.
