Gunman sought in Point Breeze shooting

POINT BREEZE (WPVI) -- Police are looking for the gunman who shot a man in the leg in Philadelphia's Point Breeze section.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday on the 1300 block of South 16th Street.

After the victim was shot he jumped into a parked car with its motor running and sped away, police say.

He drove to 22nd and Catherine and that's where police scooped him up and rushed him to the hospital.

He is in stable condition.

Police say they don't plan on charging the man for taking the car to get to the hospital.
