12-year-old hurt in Southwest Philadelphia hit-and-run

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a hit-and-run that left a 12-year-old girl hospitalized in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened around 8 p.m. Friday at 56th and Springfield.

Police say the girl was hit by a vehicle at that location.

She was taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia in stable condition.

Police AID is investigating.
