17th annual blue mass in Trenton

TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- From our New Jersey Newsroom, the Diocese of Trenton held a special mass Tuesday to pray for police officers.

Saint Mary of the Assumption Cathedral in Trenton hosted its annual Blue Mass.

Hundreds of police officers and other public servants packed the church as Bishop David O'Connell celebrated mass and asked God to keep them safe.

Those in attendance also prayed for officers killed in the line of duty.

This was the 17th year for the event.
