Summer comes early to Franklin Square
Franklin Square officially kicked off its 10th summer season Tuesday in Center City

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Franklin Square officially kicked off its 10th summer season Tuesday in Center City.

This year the square will host the Philadelphia Chinese Lantern Festival, a first of its kind for our region.

It will run for seven weeks starting at the end of April.

Officials also announced today that Square Burger, located right in the middle of the square, is now being run by The Cooperage.

Of course Franklin Square still features a carousel, mini-golf, and lots of other family fun and games.
