58 thousand 220 Americans GIs serving in Vietnam never came home alive

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- 58 thousand 220 Americans GIs serving in Vietnam never came home alive.

Many others never got this, a 'welcome home' honoring their bravery in the war.

Action News was at the national guard armory in northeast Philadelphia for a salute to vets who came back, and did not.

Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey and Philadelphia mayor Jim Kenney were on hand for the remembrance of US involvement in the war.
