VIDEO: Nova Nation ready to roar in Houston
Alicia Vitarelli reports from NRG stadium in Houston where the emotion and excitement are building.

HOUSTON (WPVI) -- It is hot in Houston, Texas today, and Wildcat Fever is on fire.

Action News spent the afternoon catching up with Villanova fans as they prepare for tonight's championship showdown.

But to say a group of super fans we came across are "gearing up" is kind of an understatement.

By day they're just a group of friends and fraternity brothers from Villanova's Class of '95. But on Game Day, they are the #BlueNovaGuys.

They've sort of become Nova celebrities around Houston.

The Blue Nova Guys, with their wigs, onesies and all, even made the game broadcast during the Wildcats' big win Saturday night.

Steve Albrecht even added a special little splash of blue to his nails, courtesy of his daughter Stella.

Albrecht says, "When your 7-year-old daughter asks to give you a good luck toenail paint for Villanova - what can you do?"

Today we were there as they suited up for the Championship game, and helped get duct taped letters on their onesies just right.

And while it may seem like it's all fun and games, these grads say that letting the team feel the love shows some serious school spirit.

Albrecht explains, "If our team can put it out there every day like this, then it's the least we can do."
