Texas obese dog loses half of his weight

HOUSTON, Tex. (WPVI) -- An overweight dog that was dumped at a Texas animal shelter has lost half of its weight.

"Fat Vincent" was dropped off after its owner died.

K-9 Angels Rescue of Houston helped the 38-pound Dachshund trim down with water aerobics and lots of walks.

He now weighs 17 pounds.

"Fat Vincent" is now known as "Skinny Vinnie" and is almost ready to be adopted.
