FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- Employees from the Philadelphia Zoo took their mission to preserve wildlife outside the zoo's walls Monday.
The workers joined forces with PECO and Philadelphia Parks and Rec to plant trees here in Fairmount Park.
Its part of the zoo's Fairmount Park Habitat Restoration Project.
Among other things, the trees will help enhance the habitat for wildlife.
The event also served as a kickoff for PECO's annual Volunteer Week.
