1 hurt after school bus, SUV collide in Newark, Delaware

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- One person is hospitalized after a crash involving a school bus and an SUV in Delaware.

It happened at 6:30 a.m. Monday at Old Baltimore Pike and Albe Road in Newark.

Video from Chopper 6 HD showed a school bus stopped in the middle of Old Baltimore Pike.

A silver-colored SUV with heavy front-end damage was located nearby.

Action News is told the driver of the SUV was taken to an area hospital. There was no immediate word on the extent of that person's injuries.

The school bus was carrying students from the Koomba Academy. None of the students were hurt.

Traffic was being detoured around the accident scene as police investigated.
